Overview

Introduced in 1984 by Commodore, the Commodore Plus4 was a computer system. It is grouped with c64 titles in EmulationStation. Its platform tag is cplus4 for proper filtering.

Technical specifications

  • CPU: MOS Technology 7501/8501 (6502-derived) running at 1.77 MHz, driving integrated BASIC and productivity software.
  • Memory: 64 KB RAM with an additional 96 KB ROM space for built-in software including Word Writer and Spreadsheet.
  • Display: VIC-II compatible graphics with 320×200 resolution, 256 colors from a 16-bit palette, and hardware sprites.
  • Sound: TED chip giving three square-wave channels plus a digital-to-analog converter for simple sampled audio.
