Mega Duck / Cougar Boy¶
Overview¶
Introduced in 1993 by Welback Holdings, the Mega Duck / Cougar Boy was a portable system.
Technical specifications¶
- CPU: Sharp SM83 (Sharp LR35902 derivative) clocked at 4.194304 MHz.
- Memory: 16 KB of general RAM with an additional 8 KB reserved for tile/line buffers in the LCD controller.
- Display: 160×144 pixel color LCD panel, 4-bit color depth and hardware-supported sprites.
- Sound: Built-in mono speaker leveraging the same SN76489-compatible PSG as the Game Gear for three square waves and noise.
