Virtual Boy¶
Overview¶
Introduced in 1995 by Nintendo, the Virtual Boy was a console system.
Technical specifications¶
- CPU: NEC V810 32-bit RISC processor running at 20 MHz.
- Memory: 1 MB of DRAM shared between the CPU and graphics pipeline.
- Display: Dual 384×224 LED panels (one per eye) delivering red monochrome images with 3D parallax.
- Sound: 16-bit PCM audio with stereo DACs and hardware mixing.
