Overview

Introduced in 2005 by VTech, the V.Smile was a console system.

Technical specifications

  • CPU: MediaTek MT8127 (ARM926EJ-S) running around 96 MHz.
  • Memory: 16 MB RAM and 32 MB onboard flash plus cartridge-based game storage.
  • Display: 480×272 TFT LCD rendered via a simple GPU pipeline with hardware sprite support.
  • Sound: Stereo PCM with a dedicated DAC and multi-channel mixing.
